Klasko Immigration Law Partners, LLP is pleased to announce that Michele G. Madera was recently elected to partnership in the firm.

Michele (Gallo) Madera’s practice is focused on employment-based non-immigrant and immigrant matters for large corporations with a high volume of immigration matters. Michele has extensive experience advising clients throughout the labor certification process, including assisting companies in planning for the labor certification process, performing the labor market test in the United States, filing the Form ETA 9089, and responding to Audit Requests by the Department of Labor. She also has worked with clients in the preparation of B-1 Business Visitor applications, H-1B petitions, E-3 petitions, H-3 petitions, L-1A petitions, I-140 petitions for EB-1, EB-2 and EB-3 classifications, adjustment of status applications, Re-entry Permit applications, and Motions to Reopen. Michele has also advised her clients and assisted in the preparation of responses to Requests for Evidence issued by the United States Citizenship & Immigration Service on range of issues. She has worked with employers in reviewing and assessing new job opportunities for current employees to determine the effect of the change in job position on non-immigrant and immigrant matters. Michele has represented clients before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, U.S. Department of Labor, and U.S. Customs and Border Protection. She has prepared pro bono cases, including U derivative visa applications and Special Immigrant Juvenile case, including the Family Court petition for guardianship, I-360 petition, and adjustment of status application. Prior to joining the Firm, Michele practiced business immigration law in New York, where she represented large multinational corporations in the financial services industry, with a particular focus on Information Technology professionals.

As the daughter of an immigrant parent, Michele became interested in the immigrant experience at a young age. She dedicated time to working with refugees in ESL and tutoring programs in college. These experiences inspired her to focus her career in helping others fulfill their dreams of life in the United States.

Michele is a graduate of Colgate University (B.A., 2006) and New York Law School (J.D., 2011). During law school, Michele was a member of the Justice Action Center, and served as a Legal Intern for the Executive Office of Immigration Review, as well as at various non-profit agencies to assist with immigration matters. She is currently admitted to practice law in New York. Michele is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and served on the Unauthorized Practice of Law Committee from 2012 to 2013. In her free time, Michele frequently travels with her husband to new places, and enjoys cooking at their home in Philadelphia.
