William A. Stock (Bill) serves as Managing Partner and is a founding member of Klasko Immigration Law Partners, LLP, and is one of the country’s leading immigration lawyers.

Bill handles all aspects of immigration law, emphasizing the obtaining of employment-based immigration benefits for clients, such as nonimmigrant visa classifications (H-1B, L-1, E-1 and E-2, TN, and O-1); permanent resident or “green card” status through Labor Certification or as immigrants of exceptional or extraordinary ability (EB-1, EB-2, and EB-3); investment-based immigration (EB-5); and unusual or complicated matters, such as physician J-1 waivers, visas for entrepreneurs, defense of enforcement proceedings under the I-9 worksite compliance, immigration-related unfair employment practices, and Department of Labor LCA compliance statutes. He also litigates in federal court, including mandamus and APA review actions.

Bill served as President of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), the 17,000-member national organization of immigration lawyers, in 2016-2017. He has long been active in the association at both the national and state levels, serving several terms on the Association’s Board of Governors. In 2000, he received the Association’s Joseph Minsky Award for outstanding accomplishments in immigration law.

A frequently invited speaker, he has addressed national conferences organized by AILA, NAFSA, SHRM, and other professional organizations, as well as a national training program for immigration judges. He is a member of the Editorial Board of the AILA Law Journal and the Board of Directors of the Welcoming Center, a Pennsylvania nonprofit promoting inclusive economic growth through immigrant integration. In 2017, he was elected a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation, an honor reserved for one percent of all lawyers. He has been included since 2004 in Best Lawyers in America (Woodward/White Inc.); included since 2006 in Chambers Global: The World’s Leading Lawyers for Business (Chambers and Partners), Who’s Who in American Law, and The International Who’s Who of Business Lawyers. Bill is also featured as one of the top 20 practitioners in the area of Immigration Law by Lawdragon and is “AV” rated by Martindale-Hubbell.

William's Practice Areas

  • The representation of multinational and domestic corporations, assisting with development and implementation of immigration programs to meet their talent management needs while ensuring employee satisfaction;
  • Representing employees as well as self-sponsored immigrant scientist and investors in obtaining and reaching their immigrant goals;
  • Representing companies and individuals in immigrant-related administrative and federal court litigation, including defense enforcement actions by the Departments of Labor and Homeland Security, and obtaining immigration benefits unlawfully withheld through federal court review of agency actions; and
  • Consultation and outreach services to community organizations, foreign student advisors, and to attorneys.
