Kevin is a Law Clerk in the firm’s New York City office and reports to the Washington, D.C. office, pending admission to bar in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and working under the supervision of admitted attorneys.

Kevin is dedicated to helping clients navigate the complexity of the U.S. immigration system and approaches each case through a holistic lens. To that end, Kevin gained a diverse range of experience in immigration law before joining Klasko. As a Student-Attorney at The George Washington University Law School Immigration Clinic, Kevin represented individuals seeking humanitarian benefits including asylum and U-1 status. At the U.S. Department of Justice, Kevin assisted trial attorneys in the Immigrant & Employee Rights (IER) Section with PERM recruitment investigations, Form I-9 audits, and responding to immigration-based workplace discrimination complaints on the IER hotline. As a Law Clerk with the U.S. Senate Committee on the Judiciary, Kevin supported Senator Richard Blumenthal’s immigration policy portfolio. Additionally, Kevin advocated on behalf of detained and non-detained clients in removal proceedings during his law school summers.

Prior to law school, Kevin was a paralegal at a business immigration firm in Boston. There, he helped employers and individuals secure a variety of immigrant and nonimmigrant visas, including H-1B, TN, L-1, O-1, O-2, E-2, E-3, EB-1, EB-2, EB-3, and J-1. The clients he worked with ranged from multinational corporations, tech startups, and educational institutions to families, newlyweds, and self-sponsoring scientists and entrepreneurs.

Kevin’s decision to enter a career in immigration was inspired in part by his parents’ immigration journey from Vietnam. He draws on his personal experiences to ensure clients feel adequately supported throughout their own immigration journeys.

Kevin earned his J.D. with academic honors and pro bono honors from The George Washington University Law School. In law school, he served as President of the Immigration Law Association, helped edit The George Washington International Law Review, and completed a concentration in International & Comparative Law. He received his A.B. in History and Hispanic Studies with Phi Beta Kappa and general honors from Vassar College.

Outside work, Kevin enjoys traveling, hiking, and learning foreign languages. He also holds a second-degree black belt in Taekwondo.
