Over her decade-plus journey at KILP, Diana’s career has evolved significantly – from her early days as a junior paralegal to increasingly impactful positions, including service on numerous firm committees, and most recently into training and supervisory roles. In a Klasko 20th anniversary staff feature, she reflected on how her responsibilities have grown alongside the firm, and how proud she is of the professional growth and the relationships she has built along the way.
We are pleased to celebrate Diana Acosta as the recipient of the 2024 Rich Rulon Award! The Rich Rulon Award recognizes individuals whose generosity, dedication, and commitment to colleagues reflect the values Rich embodied throughout his time at the firm.
Diana is currently a Supervisory Paralegal, leading a team of paralegals that supports a large corporate client with excellence, insight, and care. She has been with Klasko for more than 11 years and continues to make an impact both through her work and her engagement with the firm’s staff community.
Diana clearly has the gift of connecting with people. Her most valued aspect of working at KILP is the meaningful impact her work has on immigrants’ lives and the lifelong friendships she’s formed over the years. Her favorite events at the firm include the many holiday parties, with casino night standing out as a particular favorite. One of her most cherished memories, though, is the dog-friendly summer event when her dog unexpectedly made a mess of a partner’s outfit, and everyone remained in good spirits.
When asked how she feels about being selected, Diana graciously noted that, though she never met Rich Rulon personally, she has heard many touching stories about him since joining the firm. She also said, “It’s an honor to learn that my colleagues hold me in such high regard.”
Outside the office, Diana enjoys walking and hiking with her husband and rescue dog, Johan. She’s also a fan of Hamilton and is confident that there’s a lyric for just about every occasion.
Please join us in congratulating Diana Acosta, a truly deserving recipient of the 2024 Rich Rulon Award, and in thanking her for her leadership, heart, and commitment to the firm’s mission!.
