The 2025 Lisa Felix Award: Serena Prammanasudh

Since joining Klasko Immigration Law Partners in January 2024, Serena Prammanasudh has consistently shown kindness, thoughtfulness, and dedication that have made long-lasting impacts on both her colleagues and clients. As a senior paralegal on the firm’s Washington, D.C. team, Serena supports corporate and global mobility matters for clients.

Her nominations are a testament to her positivity and the helpfulness she brings to every interaction. One nominator shared:

“I would like to nominate Serena for the Lisa Felix award. Serena is consistently positive, kind, and deeply considerate both of her teammates and her clients. She has a great sense of humor, love of organizing team events, and serves as an amazing mentor to the paralegals on the team. She is always willing to lend a hand or drop an on-point emoji.  I am proud to have her on my team and would love to honor her with this award.”

Another nominator added:

“I joined the firm about two months ago and Serena always made sure to say hi, ask me about my weekend, and ensure I felt welcome as a new paralegal. She also routinely goes out of her way to help me with my questions, and I ask her a LOT of questions. I really appreciate Serena’s patience and kindness in helping me and others, and I think she is an ideal candidate for this award.”

Serena has played a pivotal role in several special projects within the firm, including collaborating with clients and attorneys to host an on-site legal clinic in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and being a part of and supporting the “I-9 Go Team” to support I-9 audits.

The Lisa Felix Award was introduced in 2022 as a special honor to preserve the memory and legacy of a very special person — Lisa Felix, an attorney at the firm, who passed in 2020 after a long illness. Presented annually at the firm’s summer event, the award recognizes a KILP staff member who embodies the spirit of Lisa Felix, who radiated unconditional, unwavering, and selfless kindness even in difficult times.

Though Serena never met Lisa, she shares a similar optimism and warmth. Even on challenging days, she finds joy in being able to banter with her teammates, identifying small wins, and celebrating them. “I truly feel like a valued member of my team and of the firm, and I am honored that others feel I embody some of the same qualities as Lisa. I love that her legacy will live on through this award,” Serena shared.

Her work ethic and compassion are inspired by past mentors and family members, especially her maternal grandmother, who, according to Serena, “came from mainland China in the 1950s, was the matriarch of our family, ran a successful restaurant, and provided her four children with a college education.  I carry her resilient spirit with me always.”

Outside of work, Serena recharges by giving back to her community through volunteering with nonprofit organizations and hosting queer and trans-centric Latin dance events. She also enjoys cooking, plant parenting, dancing, yoga, running, crafting, and spending time with her loved ones, including her cat, Kina.

Please join us in congratulating Serena Prammanasudh on receiving the Lisa Felix Award. A well-deserved recognition of her unwavering kindness, mentorship, and dedication to making Klasko Immigration Law Partners a better place for all.
