Grace Waweru is an Associate at the firm’s Philadelphia office and assists corporate and individual clients on a range of employment-based and individual immigration matters. These range from nonimmigrant visa petitions including H-1B, H-3, L-1, E-3, and TN visa petitions, Permanent Labor Certifications, EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant petitions, adjustment of status and naturalization.

Grace immigrated to the U.S. at a young age with her family from Nairobi, Kenya. Her immigrant background fueled her passion to become an immigration attorney to represent individuals pursuing their careers and establishing their lives in the U.S., just as she and her family did.

Her career in immigration began with assisting corporate clients with employment-based visas. Before law school, she worked as a paralegal at a boutique immigration law firm in Philadelphia where she managed employment-based cases including nonimmigrant visa petitions and Permanent Labor Certifications from the U.S. Department of Labor.

She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and her Juris Doctor degree from Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law. While attending Villanova, she served as Vice President of Villanova’s Women’s Law Caucus. She also served as Student Attorney for Villanova’s Farmworker Legal Aid Clinic, where she provided pro bono representation for visa petitions and employment-related issues for Pennsylvania farmworkers.

Grace is fluent in Swahili and is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania.
