Ron Klasko spoke in a webinar hosted by the Investment Migration Council. He discussed US visa and permanent residence options for high net worth individuals and investors and how they are impacted by the events of 2020, including closures of consulates, travel restrictions and travel bans, restrictive interpretations of certain visa categories and processing delays. Against this backdrop, he compared and contrasted E-2 and L-1 visa options and EB-1-C and EB-5 green card options, as well as other possible strategies. Ron also addressed President Trump’s tweet regarding an intention to issue an Executive Order to temporarily curb legal immigration to the US.
