The current administration’s prioritizing of enforcement above all else has compelled immigration advocates to employ new strategies when advocating on behalf of clients. Specifically, with regulatory changes being implemented at a breakneck pace, the old rules governing immigration court proceedings are becoming increasingly obsolete, creating a climate of unprecedented uncertainty for removal practitioners, one where fresh, innovative approaches are essential in order to secure successful outcomes for those seeking to avoid deportation. This practical skills track, cosponsored by the Immigration Justice Campaign, will arm removal practitioners with the cutting-edge litigation skills necessary to navigate the new immigration court rules when fighting for the rights of clients.
