Klasko Immigration Law Partners is proud to announce that Angela Devine-Ginion is the 2025 Rich Rulon Award recipient. Angela has spent nearly 12 years helping shape the firm’s award-winning workplace culture, not only through strong leadership and operational excellence, but through the steady, intentional way she supports people, strengthens camaraderie, and builds community.
As Executive Director, Angela leads the firm’s operations and day-to-day management with a focus on what matters most: people. Her approach is grounded in respect, trust, and connection – ensuring employees feel supported, empowered, and aligned with the firm’s mission. In a fast-paced environment with many moving pieces, Angela’s leadership helps keep teams moving forward while maintaining the culture that makes Klasko special.
Angela’s impact is felt across the firm in countless ways, but one project she holds especially close is the implementation of the peer recognition award program – an initiative that has become a meaningful part of firm life. Designed to give employees a platform to recognize each other for teamwork, support, and going above and beyond, the program reflects Angela’s belief that a strong workplace culture is built through daily moments of appreciation and encouragement.
When asked what she values most about working at Klasko, Angela points to the people around her, both those she learns from and those she has helped support along the way. She credits the firm’s partners for modeling integrity and purpose, and she finds daily inspiration in the employees whose passion and dedication make a real difference for clients.
Some of Angela’s favorite memories reflect the same spirit of connection and personality that Rich Rulon himself was known for. One standout moment was a firm-wide summer event that included a citywide scavenger hunt – with one particularly unforgettable challenge: teams stopping at an Applebee’s to perform songs for judges. What started as a planned activity quickly turned into an explosion of creativity and laughter. By the end of the day, Angela recalls, Applebee’s decided the firm had brought just a little too much energy – an experience that still makes her smile and perfectly captures the fun and camaraderie of the Klasko team.
Another favorite firm moment was the first-ever Ronny Awards, held at a dueling piano bar. Angela remembers the night as a joyful celebration of people’s unique talents, filled with music, dancing, and shared laughter. A cherished highlight is when Ron Klasko led the group in singing the Eagles’ fight song. Years later, as the firm grew, the Ronny Awards returned in a more formal format, complete with hosts, videos, and presentations. Seeing that evolution, while still honoring what makes the team special, remains one of Angela’s most meaningful experiences.
However, Angela’s proudest moments aren’t tied to a single event or accomplishment. Instead, she describes her greatest pride as watching people she helped bring into the firm grow into key contributors. For Angela, advocating for potential, taking thoughtful risks, and then seeing those individuals thrive has been one of the most rewarding parts of her career.
That people-centered approach has defined Angela’s leadership since her time as HR Manager, as she has become someone employees trust during their most significant moments. She has celebrated alongside colleagues through weddings, new babies, and personal milestones – and has also stood with them through illness, grief, and loss. Being a safe, steady presence during both joyful and difficult seasons is where Angela feels she has made her greatest difference.
One of the biggest challenges Angela has faced in her role came in March 2020, when the firm had to transition to remote work nearly overnight. Angela recalls the daily meetings, the uncertainty, and the emotional weight of keeping work moving while ensuring employees felt safe and supported. Though overwhelming, she emphasizes that the firm’s strength came from what it always comes back to: people coming together, supporting one another, and finding a way forward.
Reflecting on her years at Klasko, Angela says she’s been surprised by just how much impact empathy, trust, and consistency can have in building a strong and resilient organization. Those values have guided her through the many competing priorities that come with leading multiple teams, and she credits her ability to manage it all to the trust she has in the firm’s people and the culture of support that exists across the organization.
Although she did not know Rich personally, she has always been struck by how he is remembered: not only as an exceptional leader, but as someone known for his humor and the way he made people feel. Angela is honored to be associated with that legacy.
When asked why she believes she was selected for the award, Angela points to the way she strives to show up each day, with empathy, integrity, and a deep sense of care for the firm and its employees. Being someone others can trust and rely on has always been important to her, and this recognition reflects that commitment.
Outside of the office, Angela’s world centers around her family – her husband, two sons, and a baby girl on the way. She describes them as her greatest accomplishments. Angela also has a lifelong passion for music and performing, and she finds joy in sharing that love of music with her children as they begin discovering their own interests and talents.
Angela’s message to the Klasko team is simple but heartfelt: gratitude. This award means so much, she says, because it comes from people she admires and respects. She’s thankful for the shared values, the daily support, and the inspiration that make Klasko Immigration Law Partners such a special place to work.
