List of Approved TN Occupations

As listed in Appendix 1603.D.1 of the North American Free Trade Agreement

TN classification is for nationals of Canada and Mexico working in designated professions. As a general matter, TN classification requires a person to have a Bachelor’s Degree level of education (U.S. or Canadian BA or BS, Mexican Licenciatura) in the designated field. Occupations marked with an asterisk have special rules and may allow employment by some persons who do not have a Bachelor’s degree.

This list is provided for general information only; the TN classification can be used creatively in many cases to enable a person to work in the United States.
