Reputation
Our attorneys are well known and well respected by government officials at the Department of Labor, the INS and the Department of State. Three different government agencies have chosen one of our attorneys to participate in the training of government officials. Where necessary, we are able to advocate solutions to difficult problems directly to appropriate government officials.
Attorney Involvement
Terrific attorneys are only terrific to the client if they are accessible to the client. Our attorneys, including our most senior attorneys, have frequent and often daily contact with our clients. Each attorney also is available both by cell phone and by e-mail. The attorney establishes strategy on every case and personally prepares or reviews every case.
Training Program
All lawyers and paralegals in the firm undergo an extensive in-house training program covering all aspects of immigration law and the unique way we deal with each case and client. In addition, we have an in-house newsletter and hold weekly meetings to update all of our professionals on new developments in immigration law.
Client Service
Responsiveness
Each member of our Group is trained to respond to every telephone call and every e-mail promptly, and no more than 24 hours after receipt.
We do everything possible to avoid emergencies by advance planning. Our turnaround time on routine nonimmigrant applications is a maximum of 3 business days or less if required for a specific case.
Creativity
We have a well-deserved national reputation for creative solutions to difficult problems. We do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach, usually offering one or more solutions to difficult problems presented by clients.
Value-Added Services
Consistent with our practice of developing a team approach with our clients, we provide many value-added services, including in-house training sessions, client alerts on new developments, client newsletters and client seminars. We provide Desk References (e.g., I-9s, LCAs) for our clients' day-to-day use. We also provide customized case status reports upon request. Many of our clients provide their employees with our customized letters for various purposes, such as traveling.
Technology
We have developed a customized web-based case status monitoring system for our clients. With a password, our clients can access a secure Internet site to be apprised of the current status of all of their employees' cases.
Teamwork with Clients
Flexibility to Client's Needs
We realize that each client has its own needs and preferences. We provide advice on suggested systems, but ultimately we defer to the client's rules and preferences for handling the immigration function. Consistent with the client's desires, we provide standardized questionnaires to minimize the client's need to devote excess time to obtaining additional information.
Client Interaction
We provide practical, clear suggestions for handling immigration matters, but always discuss with the client the alternatives, possible issues and business risks involved. We view our work as a team effort with the client, and seek to ensure that the client agrees with and understands our strategy decisions. We make it our business to learn our client's business.
Corporate Immigration Policy Statements
We work with our clients to develop Corporate Immigration Policy Statements to deal with the spate of immigration issues on a policy level rather than on an ad hoc basis.
Client Satisfaction Surveys
Through formal and informal means, we review our performance with our clients and request input on ways we can be even more responsive to client needs.
Resources
Professional Resources
We have well-trained, experienced immigration lawyers and paralegals on staff and are able to assign one or more lawyers and one or more paralegals to every client.
